KPDCL condoles death of youth due to electric shock, orders probe

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has condoled the death of a youth who received an electric shock on 14th of December, 2024 in Kursoo Rajbagh and later passed away in a nearby hospital.

The said worker was engaged by M/S Gopikrishna Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, the Turnkey Contractor (TKC) of the RDSS scheme.

Meanwhile, a high-level committee has been constituted by the Chief Engineer (Distribution-KPDCL) comprising Superintending Engineer O&M Circle 2nd Srinagar, Executive Engineer ED 2nd Srinagar and Assistant Executive Engineer, Sub Division Rajbagh to thoroughly investigate the events which led to this unfortunate accident.

The committee has been asked to submit a detailed report within 3 days.
