Dr Bashir Ahmad Lone, Member J&K BOPEE appraised the students about the examination cum counselling schedule for admission to various professional courses in UT of J&K for the session 2025-26.

He impressed upon them to choose career options early and wisely from amongst the courses which are available in UT of J&K for which examinations are conducted by JK BOPEE and Selection lists issued.

The details of a number of courses and number of seats available in Govt. and Private institutions were given to the participating students.

The objective of this awareness camp was also to address the issue of low admissions in some professional courses during the year 2024- 25 and to inform the students in advance about the schedule of issuance of Notifications for inviting applications, tentative schedule of examinations and counselling schedules.

Pamphlets indicating the details of professional courses eligibility criteria, admission processes and tentative schedule of examinations and counselling were distributed among the students, which was followed by an interactive and question-answer

The camp highlighted the advantages of studying in local colleges, including lower fees, a familiar environment, and better job opportunities. It also emphasized the importance of filling up vacant seats to avoid wastage of resources.

A similar camp will be organised in the district in the coming days, to amplify the awareness among aspiring students in order to ensure that the maximum number of students benefit from these initiatives.

The programme was appreciated and received well by the targetted audience.
