MLA Gulmarg inaugurates new academic & science blocks at GHSS Kunzer

Gulmarg: MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, inaugurated multiple new facilities at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kunzer today, marking a significant step toward enhancing educational infrastructure in the region.

The newly inaugurated Academic Block comprises 12 modern classrooms, a well-equipped Conference Hall, Computer Lab, Tourism Lab, and ITC Lab. Additionally, a state-of-the-art Library Block and a Multi-purpose Science Center were also inaugurated to provide advanced learning resources to students.

Speaking on the occasion, Farooq Ahmad Shah emphasized the importance of upgrading educational infrastructure to meet the needs of the students and the growing demands of modern education. He assured continued support for the development of educational facilities in the constituency.

Later in the day, Farooq Ahmad Shah chaired a review meeting with sub-divisional level officers at Townhall Tangmarg. During the meeting, he issued strict directions to the officers of the Agriculture, Horticulture, and Animal Husbandry Departments to ensure the effective implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level, enabling people to avail maximum benefits.

Highlighting the challenges of the upcoming winter months, he instructed the Power Development Department (PDD) and the R&B Mechanical Division to remain fully prepared with adequate manpower and machinery to address any eventuality and ensure uninterrupted services during adverse weather conditions.

Farooq Ahmad Shah reiterated his commitment to addressing public issues and urged the officials to work with dedication and accountability to improve the quality of life for people in the Gulmarg constituency.
