Satish Sharma addresses NTTA’s 8th AGM, HTEACON- 2024 at Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Minister for Transport, FCS&CA, Youth Services and Sports, Information Technology, Science & Technology, Satish Sharma today addressed the 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) here.

MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq and MLA Hazratbal, Salman Sagar were also on the occasion as Guests of Honour.

The AGM was also attended by senior bureaucrats, hoteliers, travel trade professionals, civil society members, media representatives and academicians.

The AGM focused on the theme of sustainable tourism, emphasizing the vital link between environmental conservation and tourism growth.

During the AGM, elections to elect office bearers was also conducted in which Manzoor Wangnoo was re-elected as NTTA Chairman.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated the newly elected Chairman and office bearers, stating that their dedication and zeal will undoubtedly strengthen the association’s mission.

He exhorted that Environment and Tourism are related and for sustainable tourism, we have to work to save our natural resources, especially lakes, wetlands, waterways and springs.

The Minister assured his full support in its endeavour of promoting tourism. He said that NTTA has been at the forefront in promoting Kashmir in general and has been always encouraging to promotion of eco destinations and raising its voice for the conservation of the environment in general and saving water bodies in particular.

Satish Sharma stressed that with the collective efforts of all stakeholders, we can ensure Kashmir’s tourism sector reaches new heights while safeguarding its fragile ecosystem.

Chairman NTTA on the occasion, also highlighted the achievements and activities carried out for the promotion of Kashmir tourism and the welfare of its members by NTTA.

Meanwhile, Satish Sharma also addressed the HTEACON-2024 organised by J&K Health Technical Employees Association Kashmir.

The Minister said that the Technicians are the backbone of health department and play a pivotal role in providing better health services to the people in need.

Satish Sharma assured them that their genuine issues and demands and all their concerns will be addressed in a phased manner.

The J&K Health Technical Employees Association on the occasion informed that this scientific conference has been organised to boost the morale of technicians and give them knowledge about new technology/machines/instruments using day-to-day patient care in the health institutions.
