Budgam: Two tourists, who lost their way while trekking in the forests of Doodhpathri in Budgam, were rescued by the police on Sunday evening, officials said.
An official said soon after getting the information, police launched a rescue operation, and both tourists – one from Punjab and another from Meghalaya – were traced and brought to safety.
Meanwhile, the rescued tourists expressed gratitude to police and local volunteers who carried out the rescue operation, news agency KNO reported.
