Gram Sabha held at Balhama A&B; focus laid on GPDP & Convergence

BALHAMA: A Gram Sabha was convened today for Balhama A and Balhama B to formulate the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for the upcoming financial year.

The meeting emphasized the principle of convergence, aiming to integrate resources from various government schemes to achieve sustainable and inclusive development.

Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Lal Chowk, Ahsan Pardesi and DDC Member, Aijaz Hussain Rather were present at the Sabha. They engaged with the community, encouraging active participation and highlighting the importance of grassroots planning in ensuring equitable growth.

The Block Development Officer (BDO) also participated actively, guiding discussions on prioritizing developmental needs. He underscored the role of convergence in pooling resources across departments for the effective implementation of the GPDP.

During the session, key areas such as road infrastructure, healthcare, sanitation, education, and employment were discussed extensively. Resolutions were adopted to ensure the integration of these priorities into the GPDP and to facilitate their timely execution through inter-departmental coordination.

Residents expressed appreciation for the inclusive and transparent process of the Gram Sabha and voiced optimism for tangible outcomes through the collaborative efforts of the administration and community.
