Satish Sharma pays surprise visit to Balgran, Muskan Home

JAMMU: Aimed at to have first-hand information and observe the living conditions of the inmates, Minister for Youth Services and Sports, FCS&CA, Transport, IT and S&T, Satish Sharma, today paid a surprise visit to Balgran Channi Rama and enquired about the facilities being provided to the children residing there.

The Minister inspected the facilities including food, cleanliness and hygiene, safe drinking water, and sanitation. He also interacted with the children and staff asking them about the facilities being extended in the home.

Satish Sharma also visited ‘Muskan’, a Home for specially abled Persons which is located adjoining Balgran. He interacted with the children and enquired about the facilities being provided to them and issues being faced by them, if any.

The Minister also distributed sports items and sweets among the children and assured the staff of his full support in providing all possible assistance and addressing any kind of issues.

The Minister exhorted upon maintaining cleanliness in and around the said Homes, besides providing all the necessary facilities to the inmates

Later, the Minister paid floral tribute to Lt General S Bikram Singh on his 59th Death Anniversary at Bikram Chowk, Jammu.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that besides his military excellency Lt General had a great equation with the general public and local administration.
