The day began with a guided tour of Pari Mahal, an iconic 17th-century Mughal monument, where the students learned about its architectural grandeur and historical significance.

This was followed by a visit to Hariparbat Fort, offering them a glimpse into Kashmir’s royal history. Finally, the group explored the SPS Museum, where they witnessed an impressive collection of artifacts from Kashmir’s past, deepening their understanding of the region’s heritage.

The event culminated with a safe return to the orphanage, where the students were deboarded, carrying with them new knowledge and a greater appreciation for their cultural legacy.

This initiative, a first of its kind in the history of the Department was aimed to provide these young minds with exposure to the region’s historical landmarks, nurturing a sense of pride and connection to their heritage.

The main aim of the program was to sensitize the youth towards our rich heritage both tangible and intangible, its importance and the need for its preservation.
