Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Kupwara and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Sunday.
He said at a checkpoint established at Geerhatchi, one Ghulam Mohammad Lone, son of Abdul Rehman Lone, resident of Khumriyal was arrested after three “lathis of charas-like substance” weighing approximately 71 grams was recovered from his possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kupwara for investigation.
