Shah has discussed this project with the Minister for Horticulture & Agriculture and the also Horticulture Production and Marketing Department. A proposal has been submitted, and the project is expected to start soon.

“Horticulture has great potential in our constituency and can boost our local economy,” Shah said. “The Fruit Mandi will provide fruit growers with better access to markets, ensure fair prices, and reduce challenges like transportation. This will not only help our farmers but also strengthen the entire community.”

The Fruit Mandi will serve as a one-stop centre for storing, marketing, and selling fruits. It is expected to attract traders from across the region, create job opportunities, and drive economic growth in Gulmarg.

This project highlights the Farooq Ahmad Shah’s commitment to support farmers and improve the horticulture sector. The establishment of the Fruit Mandi marks an important step towards sustainable development and prosperity for the Gulmarg Constituency.
