Srinagar: Police have arrested four drug peddlers including a woman in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.
Two persons — Mohammad Saleem Lone, son of Ghulam Nabi, and Furqaan Ahmad Lone, son of Manzoor Ahmad, both residents of Mirchipora Tangmarg, were arrested in the same area after 35 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from their possession, police said.
At Drangbal Baramulla, 70 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from the possession of Nisar Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Amin of Jalsheeri, and a woman from Chellan Boniyar, who werte subsequently arrested, police said.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for investigations.
