In the Wathoora area, an 11-meter-long ST pole will be erected, and power conductors will be shifted from an old wooden pole to the new ST pole. These activities are set to impact the 33kV Nowbugh-Chadoora line, affecting power supply to receiving stations in Chadoora, Panzan, and Ranger, along with surrounding areas. The areas expected to face power outages include Sogam, Ropora, Chadoora Town, Wathoora, Bulgam, Dawlatpora Hospital, Guthaothoo, Panzgam, Lalgam, Ranger, and Kathair Gund. Power disruptions in these regions are scheduled on November 16 and 18, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Similarly, in Ganderbal, routine maintenance and the installation of a 132kV line isolator structure will take place at the 70 MVA 132/33kV Grid Substation Kangan. Power supply to areas served by this grid will be affected on November 18, with outages expected from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Authorities advise residents to plan accordingly during the scheduled outages. These upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to improve the region’s power infrastructure and ensure reliable power supply in the long term
