Srinagar: In a pioneering move to enhance governance accessibility, MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah (IAS Retd.), launched “Farayad” grievance offices in Kunzer and Tangmarg on Monday, aiming to bring the administration closer to local residents.

This initiative underscores Shah’s commitment to a responsive and transparent government, designed to ensure prompt resolution of public grievances.

During the inaugural day, Shah held comprehensive meetings with grassroots officials, including Lambardars and Chowkidars, as well as key staff from the Revenue, Public Health Engineering (PHE), and Power Development Departments (PDD). The discussions focused on delivering uninterrupted public services and advancing development projects across the constituency, especially in preparation for the coming winter months. Shah emphasized a proactive approach, urging officials to ensure essential services are maintained and to prevent residents from facing hardships due to seasonal challenges.

The newly launched “Farayad” grievance offices, located in both Kunzer and Tangmarg, will operate from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering a physical space for residents to register complaints and concerns. To improve accessibility, the offices also provide 24/7 grievance registration through phone calls, emails, and social media. Shah assured residents that all submitted grievances would be tracked, addressed swiftly, and monitored across multiple administrative levels, with feedback provided to citizens at every stage.

“This initiative is part of our commitment to bridging the gap between the administration and the people,” Shah stated. “We want every citizen to feel heard and supported.”

By establishing these grievance offices, Shah aims to streamline administrative processes and provide faster solutions for local concerns. This approach reflects his dedication to creating an inclusive, accountable governance model, bringing government services directly to the community and improving the quality of life for the people in his constituency.
