MLA Bandipora assesses developmental projects & public welfare initiatives

BANDIPORA: The Member of Legislative Assembly for Bandipora Assembly Constituency, Nizam u Din Bhat, on Saturday, chaired a review meeting at the mini secretariat Bandipora to review the ongoing developmental projects and public welfare initiatives.

The MLA took in-depth review of various developmental issues pertaining to different departments including Irrigation, Jal Shakti, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Education, R&B, PMGSY, Health, FCS&CA, Social Welfare and other departments besides other issues of public importance.

On the occasion, concerned officers from different departments briefed the chair regarding department-wise activities, and developmental and welfare initiatives being undertaken in the Bandipora Assembly Constituency.

During the meeting, MLA raised various issues including the functioning of the Lift system at the District Hospital and other pending infrastructural works.

He also raised the issues of pending compensation of land owners, traffic congestion in the main market, proper implementation of ATD in education department, non-availability of Divisional Manager SFC at Bandipora, pending relief to fire victims and other issues of public importance.

He stressed on qualitative enhancement in the pace of various developmental and infrastructural projects besides emphasized coordination among various departments for the timely completion of developmental works.

He asked the officers to prioritise the public welfare and ensure that the benefit of various beneficiary-oriented schemes reaches the eligible beneficiaries only.

The MLA asked officers from various departments to share insights on operational challenges and suggest ways to enhance project implementation and service delivery.

Among others, the meeting was attended by VC District Development Council Kousar Shafeeq, ADDC Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, District Officers of various Departments and other concerned.
