Miramar FC Ushkura Lifts Autumn Cup Trophy in Thrilling Final Against FC Sheeri

Sheeri: Miramar FC Ushkura claimed victory over FC Sheeri in an action-packed Autumn Cup final held at Magazine Ground in Sheeri Narvaw, Baramulla. 

The much-anticipated match saw both teams putting up a tough fight, with Miramar FC Ushkura ultimately emerging as champions with a 2-0 win. Anzhar Rasool served as the referee, overseeing the game with precision and fairness throughout the intense competition.

The final match attracted a large crowd of local fans and prominent figures. Er. Razia Hussain attended as the chief guest, while former Sarpanch of Sheeri, Ghulam Rasool Bhat, was the guest of honor. Other notable attendees included youth leader and recent Assembly candidate Musaib Lone, senior sports promoter Mohammad Yousuf Lone, and Tanvir Ahmad Bhat, all recognized for their contributions to promoting sports in the region.

The match began with both teams displaying exceptional skills and a fierce determination to win, Miramar FC Ushkura score 0-4, known for its strong defense and strategic play, FC Sheeri initially held off Ushkura’s attacks. However, Ushkura quickly adapted, intensifying their offense and pressing FC Sheeri’ score 0-2 goals defense to find an opening.

Midway through the first half, Ushkura’s forward broke through the defense and scored a stunning goal, sending their fans into a frenzy. FC Sheeri responded with equal energy, attempting several attacks, but Ushkura’s goalkeeper displayed remarkable saves, preventing an equalizer.

In the second half, both teams fought with renewed energy. FC Sheeri nearly leveled the score multiple times, but Ushkura’s defense held strong. Ushkura scored another goal in the final minutes, sealing their victory with a 2-0 lead.

At the end of the match, Ushkura’s captain lifted the Autumn Cup trophy, and players celebrated their hard-earned victory with their supporters. The crowd applauded both teams for their sportsmanship and dedication, marking the game as a memorable event in Sheeri’s local football scene.

After the thrilling game, cash prizes and trophies were awarded to the winning team and the Man of the Match. Reyaz Ahmad Ganai, a respected educator, writer, innovator, and sports promoter, also presented cash prizes to both the winning and runner-up teams, encouraging the players to pursue their passion for sports.

The event concluded with enthusiastic applause from spectators, who celebrated the sportsmanship and talent displayed by both teams. The Autumn Cup final underscored Sheeri’s vibrant local football culture and the community’s dedication to fostering young talent.
