Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Ganderbal and one from Baramulla, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.
He said at Pehelnar crossing Wanghat, two persons coming from Naranag towards Baba Nagri — Mohammad Lateif Jagan, son of Mohammad Ayoob, and Amjid Ahmad Jagal, son of Mohammad Yaqoob, both residents of Naranag Kangan – were arrested after contraband cannabis-like substance was recovered from their possession.
In Baramulla, at a checkpoint at Veerwan, one Sareer Ahmad Khan, son of Ghulam Nabi Khan of Chellan Boniyar, was arrested after 100 grams of contraband cannabis-like substance was recovered from his possession. The car (JK05H-9604) he was driving was also seized.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for investigation, police said.
