An unidentified female body was also recovered from a stream near Aharbal area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday evening, officials said.

Quoting officials, news agency KNO reported that police and SDRF personnel fished out the body from the Veshow stream near Aharbal after they were informed about it by the locals.

The identity of the woman is being ascertained, police said, adding that the body is in a decomposed state, indicating that it had been in the water for some time.

Notably, a cab driver and a woman from Srinagar had gone missing in the same area on September 30 this year.
