MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah holds introductory meeting with Sub-District Officers in Tangmarg

Gulmarg: Farooq Ahmad Shah, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Gulmarg, convened an introductory meeting with sub-district officers at Townhall Tangmarg today, focusing on enhancing public service delivery across the region.
Officials from various departments presented updates on ongoing development projects and highlighted the challenges faced in their execution.
During the meeting, Shah urged the officers to expedite the resolution of public grievances and ensure seamless delivery of essential services to the people.
He emphasized his commitment to working closely with officials to implement transformative initiatives aimed at the holistic development of Sub-District Gulmarg.
Following the meeting, Shah conducted an inspection of Tangmarg Hospital, where he reviewed the quality of healthcare services and interacted with patients. He directed the hospital staff to prioritize patient-centered care and ensure that essential services, including the provision of medicines, adequate heating, and proper lighting, are maintained efficiently.
Shah stressed the importance of transparency, calling for clear display of duty rosters and warning against any lapses in patient care. In a further bid to improve the region, MLA Gulmarg announced the launch of a week-long cleanliness drive across the constituency starting from October 21, with a special focus on the renowned tourist destination of Gulmarg Shah pledged to personally oversee the campaign, aiming to promote a cleaner and healthier environment for both residents and visitors.
Additionally, Shah revealed ambitious plans to establish Dairy and Sheep Farms under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These farms, he said, would provide opportunities for the unemployed, offering them a path to financial independence through sustainable agriculture. Reiterating his dedication to public service, MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah affirmed his focus on enhancing essential services and fostering sustainable development within the Gulmarg constituency, promising continued efforts to address public concerns and advance the region’s progress.
