Budgam: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has opened its account in Budgam, with Omar Abdullah winning the Budgam seat and Saifuddin winning, defeating People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Aga Syed Muntazir.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI) data accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Abdullah emerged victorious with 36,010 votes, while Muntazir secured 17,525 votes.

In the 2014 Assembly Elections, the Budgam seat was won by NC’s Aga Ruhullah by a margin of 2,787 votes, receiving 30,090 votes compared to PDP’s Gh. Mohiuddin Bhat, who garnered 27,303 votes.

As per the current data, the National Conference is leading in all four other seats in the Budgam district, prompting celebrations across various locations in the area—(KNO)
