Srinagar: Police have arrested two “notorious” drug peddlers in Sopore, a police spokesperson informed Monday.
He said at a checkpoint at Sofi Akbar Road Chankhan, police intercepted and later arrested two “notorious” drug peddlers — Muzafar Ahmad Marazi alias Muzz Marazi, son of Mohammad Akbar Marazi of Sofi Hamam Sopore, and Ishfaq Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Majeed Lone of Wangam Bandipora, after five grams of contraband heroin-like substance was recovered from their possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo for investigation, police said.
