JDI Kashmir mourns Bilal Koul’s demise

SRINAGAR: The Joint Directorate of Information (JDI) Kashmir today mourned the untimely passing away of its senior official, Mr. Bilal Ahmad Koul who passed away today morning after brief illness.

The official was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard, where hundreds of his colleagues, well-wisher mourners participated in the Nimaz-e-Jinaza and bade him a tearful send-off.

Joint Director Information Kashmir, Mohammad Aslam along with Deputy Director Information (PR) Kashmir, Dr. Ahsanul Haq Chishti and other officials of the department attended the Nimaz i Jinaza of Mr. Koul and later visited the residence of the deceased colleague and expressed their deep sympathies with the bereaved family.

Bilal Ahmad, through his dedication, honesty and professionalism, had earned deep respect and admiration among his colleagues as well as officers of the department. The loss of the official will be deeply felt throughout the organization, his colleagues remarked with sobs while attending his last rites.

Meanwhile, the Rasm i Chaharum of the deceased shall be held on Thursday, October 10 at 10 AM at his ancestral graveyard at Riyazat Taing Khanyar.
