Srinagar: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for admission to its various programs for the July 2024 session to October 15, 2024.

The decision comes in response to requests from students across the country, allowing more time for prospective learners who faced challenges in completing their admission formalities within the originally announced deadline.

IGNOU, known for its diverse range of programs, offers around 300 undergraduate and master’s degree programs through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and 50 programs online. Prospective students can find detailed information about the courses in the university’s e-prospectus, available on the IGNOU website.

Dr. A.H. Rizvi, Regional Director of IGNOU Srinagar, reiterated the university’s commitment to providing accessible and flexible education for students in the Kashmir Division, including the Union Territory of Ladakh. “This is the last opportunity for students to apply for the July 2024 admissions, with the extension applying to all programs except semester-based and certificate programs,” Dr. Rizvi said.

Students seeking more information or assistance are encouraged to contact IGNOU’s regional centre in Srinagar or visit the official websites: ignou.ac.in and rcsrinagar.ignou.ac.in.
