During the visit, the Observer ensured that the poll process in AC is conducted smoothly and efficiently in compliance with set norms of ECI and that all necessary arrangements have been made to facilitate a free, fair, and accessible voting process.

The Observer oversaw that the polling stations are well equipped to handle the expected number of voters and all assured facilities are accessible to people with special needs and for the infirm and elderly.

Roohi focused on the provision of Wheelchairs, facilitation at help desks, queue management, MCC observance and upkeep of hygiene and sanitation at the polling stations.

She also observed the live coverage of the polling process through five webcasting displays from the Integrated Control Room at district headquarters, established for round-the-clock monitoring of queue, webcasting issues and any other complaints.
