Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah accompanied Riyaz Bedar as he submitted his nomination for the Pattan Assembly constituency.
He was accompanied by former Member of Parliament Abdul Rashid Shaheen, party leaders Dr. Sameer Koul and Israr Khan.
Earlier, Abdul Hamid Mir, a prominent leader and In-charge Pattan constituency of the People’s Democratic Party, joined the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on the occasion.
Welcoming him into the party fold, Dr. Farooq hoped his joining will strengthen the Party and broaden its base in the constituency.
Earlier, in the day Dr. Farooq welcomed prominent youth leader Tawseef Irshad Khan from Apni Party, along with dozens of his supporters and former Colonel Yaspal Sharma from Sunderbani, Jammu, into the party fold. The event took place at his residence in Gupkar, where he greeted the new members with warmth and optimism for the future.
On this occasion party leaders Dr Sameer Koul and Israr Khan were also present.
