Mumbai: Mohammad Abu Bakar, a journalist hailing from Sopore, has been honored with the prestigious Laadli Media and Advertising Award for Gender Sensitivity 2024.
The award, supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), was presented to Abu Bakar today in Mumbai.
Abu Bakar was recognized for his compelling video report produced for Germany’s international broadcaster, DW News.
The report shines a spotlight on the courage and resilience of women with disabilities who defy gender norms and societal expectations through their participation in sports.
