Srinagar: A person was killed while another was injured after a slab collapsed during construction work in south Kashmir Pulwama district on Monday.
A senior police officer said that the incident occurred in Aglar Kandi village of Rajpora Tehsil of Pulwama district where a slab collapsed during construction work leading to injuries to two construction workers.
They both were shifted to CHC Rajpora where Mohammad Akbar Lone, a resident of Aglar Kandi, was declared brought dead while the injured Ghulam Qadir Teli, a resident of Drabgam Payeen is being treated, NVI reported.
Police have launched an investigation, it said.
