SHOPIAN: In light of the ongoing inclement weather conditions and continuous rainfall across Kashmir, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Shopian today issued a weather advisory stating that there are rising concerns of flash floods, potential cloudbursts at isolated locations, and the temporary suspension of surface transportation in the district.

These conditions may lead to a significant increase in water levels in the Nallah Rambiara and its adjacent tributaries. Given the current weather forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), line departments of the district have been directed to take precautionary measures to mitigate any untoward incidents.
