Srinagar: Continuing his campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in his home constituency of Chanapora, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today engaged with residents of the Rawalpora, including Astaanpora, Bagh-i-Mehtab 2, Bank Colony, and other adjoining localities.

He began his visit by paying obeisance at the revered shrine of Sufi saint Syed Muhammad Jaffar Kubravi (RA) at Astanpora Rawalpora.

He engaged with the electorates, seeking their votes and support in the upcoming elections. He assured them that he has a clear vision and a well-thought-out plan to bring prosperity and well-being to every household in the Chanapora constituency.

He said, “This constituency is my home. I know the entire area here like the back of my hand. I am well aware of the problems and issues that people here are grappling with, and I also have a clear vision to ensure the prosperity and development of this constituency and its people. Once I receive your mandate to serve, I will not lose a minute in starting to implement my vision to transform this constituency into a thriving and well-developed area.”

“I have a comprehensive plan for building infrastructure to foster economic development, create job opportunities, establish educational institutions, and provide support systems for youth activities in this constituency,” he added.

On this occasion, residents from various localities in Rawalpora apprised the Apni Party President of local public issues and grievances, primarily related to infrastructure deficits, official apathy, and a lack of facilities for residents. He listened patiently to their complaints and assured them that, if elected as the representative of this constituency, he would leave no stone unturned to ensure these issues and problems are addressed promptly.

In Astaanpora, residents informed Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari about the water supply crisis in the area. In Bagh-i-Mehtab 2, people reported suffering due to poor road connectivity and the deplorable condition of the roads. The major issue in various Rawalpora areas is the lack of a drainage system. Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari spoke with several top officials on the spot, bringing these public issues to their attention and urging them to address these concerns promptly.

While talking to people at various locations during his day-long visit to the constituency, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari explained the vision and policies that the Apni Party holds for creating a better future for Jammu and Kashmir.

He said, “Apni Party was established with the core agenda of ensuring sustained peace, enduring prosperity, and development in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as protecting the rights of its people. Our policies are primarily aimed at ensuring the political and economic empowerment of the people in J&K.”

He went on to say, “This party was established post-August 2019, when the entire Jammu and Kashmir was in great distress due to the abrogation of Article 370 and the revocation of J&K’s statehood. At that time, the entire region was under lockdown, and people were apprehensive that J&K would experience a demographic change and lose its identity. At that crucial time, we decided to come forward and stand by our people, who were in distress. We established the Apni Party and went to New Delhi to meet with leaders of the central government. We convinced them that only the people of J&K should have rights to agricultural land and jobs here. We succeeded in protecting our land and job rights for the people of J&K.”

Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari urged people to give the Apni Party an opportunity to implement its vision for a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed for their support and votes in the upcoming elections.

During his day-long visit to the constituency, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari was accompanied by prominent party leaders, senior workers, and a large number of supporters.
