Congress pays floral tributes to Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today remembered Former Prime Minister (Bharat Ratna) Late Rajiv Gandhi on his 80th birth anniversary at Srinagar Party office and paid floral tributes to the departed leader.

Senior Leaders, Former Legislators, DCC Presidents, Block Presidents and others in a meeting held at Congress office Srinagar which was presided over by Former JKPCC President Peerzada Mohd Sayeed paid floral tributes to Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.

Speaking on the occasion, Peerzada Mohd Sayeed recollected the supreme sacrifices given by Rajiv Gandhi for the Nation and termed him a visionary, man of development and prosperity. He said Rajiv Ji took the country to heights in terms of development, education, computer sciences, agriculture, and various other fields.

He ensured equal privileges and development of the rural population in the country and brought the development to their doorsteps through the Panchayat Raj System, he said adding that the Nation will continue to remember Rajiv Ji for his selfless services and supreme sacrifices.
