Srinagar: Vice-Chairman of the District Council Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad along with his workers on Sunday resigned from Peoples Conference.

Quoting his statement, news agency KNO reported that Haji Farooq, who was elected VC of DDC Kupwara in 2020, said that he has announced his resignation from the party due to its conduct.

“It is with great pleasure that I along with my whole cadre (workers and sympathisers) disassociate myself from JKPC with immediate effect,” Farooq said.

He resigned from the party, a day after PC nominated Mudasir Akbar Shah as constituency in-charge for the Lolab Assembly segment. Mudasir is likely to be the PC candidate from Lolab.
