IGP Kashmir reviews poll preparedness, security situation in south Kashmir

Srinagar: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi on Monday ordered his men to adhere to the proper and same pattern of uniform.

In an order, the IGP said that it has been observed that police officers and personnel wear different patterns of uniform, which is against the uniform pattern of the police department even as it presents a bad image.

This, the IGP said, has been viewed seriously by the senior officers of the department and needs to be shunned.

Following this, the IGP has ordered all the supervisors to maintain strict discipline among their men to wear proper uniforms.

Any deviation into the matter shall be taken seriously, reads an order by the IGP.
