The concerned officials were directed to ensure that the remaining pending cases are resolved within the stipulated timeline so that the necessary response can be submitted before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the next hearing.

The Labour Commissioner underscored the importance of cross-verifying all required information prior to submission. He also stressed the need to utilize the services of local labour unions for the identification of unmatched left-out E-Shram registrants, ensuring that no eligible worker is left out of the welfare schemes.

Following the meeting, the Labour Commissioner visited various establishments across Budgam and interacted directly with workers. During these visits, he assessed the facilities available to the workers and emphasized the need for employers to ensure the availability of all required amenities as mandated under labour laws. Employers were urged to comply with the standards to promote a safe and supportive working environment.

The meeting saw participation from officials of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Labour Department, representatives from the Construction Workers Union, Traders Unions, Shopkeepers Union, Motor Transport Undertakings, and other stakeholders.
