TANGMARG: Apni Party Senior Vice President, and Former Cabinet Minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir  said if the Apni Party forms the Govt in Jammu and Kashmir, following the proposed legislative elections, the main focus on priority basis would be to provide employment to the unemployed youth in the erstwhile state.

“Our first priority would be to provide employment to the unemployed youth in Jammu and Kashmir,” said Ghulam Hassan Mir.

He said that nowadays, the youth have been diverted and involved in drug addiction and other unlawful acts because of lack of employment.

“Our focus would be to bring the youth to the mainstream by providing them ample opportunity of employment in Govt as well as private sectors,” he said, addressing a workers’ meeting at Bechipora in Tangmarg.

He said that if the Apni Party forms the next Govt in Jammu and Kashmir, the Party would ensure the unemployed youth get their due share in employment.

“We will advertise all the vacant posts and refer them to the recruitment agencies in Jammu and Kashmir for fair and transparent recruitment,” he said, while highlighting the importance of bringing the youth to the right track as the drugs have impacted adversely in the society and social fabric.

He also said that the Party wants to provide constitutional protection to the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that the people have pinned their hopes with the Apni Party that has provided protection to their jobs, and land rights when no other political party was ready to speak for the people.

“We stood for the people and ensured that their rights could be protected regarding the Govt jobs and land. We got it done. However, we want constitutional protection of the rights of the people,” said, seeking support of the people at the worker’s meeting that was full of enthusiasm and zeal.

He said that the people of J&K want an elected Govt to replace the present form of Govt so that the issues of the people can be addressed.

“The people want peace and development,” he stated, asserting that the present Govt has not been able to come up to the expectation of the people referring to development, unprecedented unemployment, and widening gap between the people and the Govt.

Asserting that the Party is capable of contesting polls on its own, the Senior Vice President of the Party said that the people have extended support to the policy and agenda of equitable development in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The roadmap of peace and development must be adopted to restore the lost confidence of the people,” he added.

Meanwhile, he asked the party cadre to intensify their election campaign, and public outreach program.

The worker’s meeting was also addressed by Chief Spokesperson Muntazir Mohiuddin.

In his address, Muntazir said that the people have concern that the authorities are not listening to their grievances, and the development has come to stand still.

“The elected Govt would restore the confidence of the people. If the Party forms the Govt, it will implement all the public welfare schemes, and ensure equitable development in all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the rural areas would be developed in a sustainable manner,” he added.

Block President, Abdul Rehman Lone (Kaka Ji), DDC Tangmarg Adv Ishfaq Tajamul Mir, Zonal President Abdul Majid Khanday and others were present on the occasion
