Traffic restored along Srinagar-Kargil road

Ganderbal: The traffic on Srinagar-Kargil road has been restored on Sunday, officials said.

Pertinently, the Srinagar-Leh highway was closed following a cloudburst that triggered mudslides in Cherwan Padabal area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the cloudburst resulted in significant mudslides, blocking the highway and suspending the traffic.

He added that since then, the rescue teams have been deployed to the affected area, and now traffic on the Srinagar-Kargil road has been restored—(KNO)
