CS condoles untimely demise of Secretary JKAACL

SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, today convened a meeting of all the Administrative Secretaries besides other officers of the Civil Secretariat to condole the demise of the Secretary, J&K Academy of Art Culture & Languages (JKAACL), Bharat Singh Manhas, who breathed his last on Friday evening.

During the condolence meeting, the Chief Secretary termed Singh a very humble and competent officer who always disbursed his duties with dedication. He recalled him as a sober personality who had very cordial relations with his subordinates.

Dulloo acknowledged that while holding the charge of Secretary, JKAACL the officer played a very crucial role in taking the Academy to newer heights. He maintained that Singh would be remembered for a long for digitization of Academy resources besides making it a vibrant cultural centre during his tenure.

The Chief Secretary expressed profound grief and shock over the untimely demise of late Manhas. He conveyed sympathies with the bereaved family in this hour of pain and loss.

Several Administrative Secretaries and senior officers also eulogised the role of Manhas as a capable officer par excellence. They extended their condolences and sympathies to the family.

Later, all the dignitaries observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect for the departed soul.
