As per family, “Authorities informed them that he has been booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and subsequently shifted him to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.”

The circumstances surrounding his detention remain unclear, and family members are seeking more information about the charges leading to his arrest.

Earlier, former BAR president Mian Qayoom was arrested in connection with Babar Qadri murder case.

The ad-hoc chairman of the J&K High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA), Kashmir, Nazir Ahmad Ronga, was also arrested by the administration in Srinagar just hours after the Bar issued a notification related to the internal election.

Meanwhile, in a notification, a Bar spokesman said, “On turn of events the JKHCBA has decided to suspend notification (issued on July 10).”
