Jammu: The widely popular People’s Grievance Redressal Programme, an interaction initiative led by the Director General of Police, J&K, R.R. Swain, is set to recommence.
The new session will be held tomorrow, June 8, 2024 (Saturday), at 12:00 PM at the District Police Lines in Pulwama.
This programme aims to address grievances from citizens regarding various police-related issues such as investigation concerns, delays in verifications, and problems with registering FIRs. The initiative prioritizes individuals based on the nature of their grievances:
First preference will be given to citizens with issues related to police investigations, enquiries, delays in verifications, and registration/refusal of FIRs.
The second preference is reserved for the families of martyrs.
The third preference will be for families and kin of other police personnel.
The fourth preference is for serving police personnel and Special Police Officers (SPOs) to discuss service-related issues.
It is important to note that this programme is exclusively for residents of the Pulwama district. Recruitment-related applications or requests will not be entertained.
Citizens wishing to participate should visit the District Police Line (DPL) to register at the designated help desk. Individuals are required to submit a written application detailing their grievances and including a working mobile number to ensure follow-up.
The programme underscores the commitment of the J&K Police to address public concerns and enhance the efficiency and accountability of police services in the region.
