MSME Field Office Sgr hands over ESDP certificates to participants trained in 2023-24

SRINAGAR: In a fruitful conclusion to the review meeting on the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program (ESDP) and MSME Innovative Schemes, the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Field Office, Br MSME DFO Srinagar, handed over ESDP Certificates to participants trained during the fiscal year 2023-24.

The certificates were presented to the respective heads of the participating institutions, marking a significant milestone in the collaborative efforts towards fostering entrepreneurship and skill development in the region.

The meeting, which brought together key stakeholders including Principal/Nodal officers of 04 Polytechnic Colleges, the Director of the Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT), and Incharge Business Incubator (MSME Incubation and Design Centre) at NIT Srinagar, was characterized by constructive discussions and strategic planning for the upcoming fiscal year 2024-25.

Highlighting the commitment to empowering the youth with the latest skills and technologies, the meeting emphasized the importance of tailored skill development programs and advanced ESDP initiatives that cater to the evolving needs of the industry, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

During the meeting, completed projects that include the Saffron Processing Machine and Seed Sowing machine under the MSME innovative scheme were also looked into for further scope of commercialization as the development of successful prototypes must reach the market.

Saheel Alaqband, Assistant Director MSME GoI, reiterated the dedication to providing comprehensive support to youth, enabling them to transition into successful entrepreneurs. He expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the previous fiscal year and underscored the determination to enhance efficiency and achieve even better results in the coming year.

The Ministry of MSME Field office, Br MSME DFO Srinagar, remains steadfast in its mission to drive economic growth and create opportunities for the youth in the region through collaborative efforts with educational institutions and industry stakeholders.
