Mortal remains of Rajouri man being brought back from Saudi Arabia in two days: JKSA says MEA has assured it

Srinagar: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has informed the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) that the mortal remains of a youth from the Rajouri area, who had passed away in Saudi Arabia, will be repatriated to India within next two days.

In a statement, the JKSA said that the MEA, in formal communication to the JKSA, informed that, “We are working closely with the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia to ensure that all necessary procedures are completed promptly. The mortal remains of the deceased will be flown back to India within two days.”

The man identified as Mohammad Kabir, originally from the Khawas area of Rajouri district, had been working in Saudi Arabia as a driver for the past two years, holding a valid Indian passport numbered N77793878. Unfortunately, he met with a tragic accident while working there.

“We have received communication from the External Affairs Ministry regarding the transportation of the mortal remains of the late Mohammad Kabir to India from Saudi Arabia. The MEA has taken cognizance of this matter and has been actively following up to expedite the process. We have been assured that all necessary assistance will be rendered for the transportation of the mortal remains to India. The family of the deceased has been advised to forward their notarized consent for this purpose,” the JKSA statement informed.
