Traffic dept issues advisory for motorists traveling on Srinagar- Baramulla highway

Srinagar: As vote counting is set to take place on June 4 across the country, the Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Sunday asked motorists to avoid unnecessary movement along the Srinagar-Baramulla highway on the said date from four o’clock in the morning till nine in the evening.

The officials of the Traffic department directed motorists to ensure hindrance-free movement of vehicular traffic as per the diverted route plan.

“On 4th of June, 2024 vehicular traffic along Srinagar-Baramulla highway shall remain affected from 0400 hours upto 2100 hours, as such motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary movement along said road. However, in order to ensure hindrance-free movement of vehicular traffic on said day traffic shall be diverted as per the following route plan,” the advisory said.

“Baramulla bound traffic from Srinagar shall be diverted at Sangrama via Sopore to Manzbugh road to Hadipora to Ladoora to Janbazpora to Azad Gunj bridge to Farooq Chowk to Kariapa Park to Baramulla town.

“Uri-bound traffic from Baramulla shall be diverted via Khanpora bridge, Old Town Baramulla to Azad Gunj to Janbazpora to Ladoora to Sopore Bypass to Sangrama.”

It said, “Srinagar-bound traffic from Baramulla shall be diverted from Baramulla town to Cement Bridge to Azad Gunj to Janbazpora to Ladoor to Manzbugh to Sopore Bypass to Sangrama towards Srinagar.”
