During the meeting, the Commissioner stressed upon the vital role of these projects to elevate infrastructure and the services offered by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation. The construction of the De-watering Station at Shalteng is a crucial step towards tackling stormwater drainage issues in the area and minimising the risk of accumulation during the rainy season.

Moreover, the development of the Corporate Hall within the SMC Central Office is anticipated to provide a dedicated space for the Corporators of the Municipal Corporation.

The remodelling of the central office premises aims to establish a more modern and functional workspace for SMC staff, enhancing their ability to efficiently serve the residents of Srinagar.

While expressing contentment with the progress achieved so far on these projects, the Commissioner directed for timely completion of these projects in order to ensure the prompt service delivery mechanism to the citizens of Srinagar City.
