Thousands of prominent individuals from North Kashmir join PC

Srinagar: In a remarkable display of support for the J&K Peoples Conference, over the past two days, more than 1800 individuals formally joined the party ranks in over a dozen joining ceremonies presided over by PC President Sajad Gani Lone.

During this occasion, Lone extended his gratitude to all attendees, lauding their unity and steadfast dedication to the Peoples Conference in fostering positive change in North Kashmir.

“The unwavering trust, hope and aspirations of our people, spanning diverse backgrounds beyond mere political affiliations, fuel my daily commitment to their welfare. This time, the public voice shall reverberate in the Parliament without fail or fear.” he affirmed with conviction.

The influx of new members included hundreds of prominent workers from various political spheres across Kupwara. Besides over 60 families from Chowkibal, Karnah also joined the party-fold in another joining.

Noteworthy additions came from Amargarh and Shaharkoot areas of Handwara Constituency, with more than 25 families joining the fold.

Zaingeer area in Sopore Constituency also witnessed a surge in membership, with hundreds of socio-political workers stepping forward. Many notable socio-political figures from Rafiabad including Feroz Ahmad Khan, brought along a multitude of supporters.

Additionally, scores of influential socio-political activists from different political thoughts joined JKPC from Sopore.

In another significant joining ceremony, former Councilor Baramulla Nighat Mir along with dozens of supporters vowed their allegiance to PC.

The party leadership also welcomed more than a hundred new families from Kalaroos in the Kupwara constituency into the party fold.

Moreover, contesting DDC candidate Farooq Ahmad who was accompanied by former Sarpanchs, Panchs and Block Presidents along with scores of workers from Langate hailing from a different political ideological background pledged their allegiance and support to JKPC.

The areas like Potshahi, Lolab also saw a significant influx, with scores of new members, including businessman Mushtaq Ahmad and prominent workers led by Ex-Sarpanch Lateef Ahmad Dar from Cherkoot Lolab. Similarly, Tumina area of Handwara Constituency also welcomed scores of political stalwarts.

The joining mela expanded further with the addition of notable activists like ex-ZEO Javid Ahmad Bhat from Keran and Farooq Ahmad Baba, President of Sumo Transport Association, Kupwara, among others. Lolab and Baramulla Constituency also contributed to this surge, with numerous political workers representing diverse ideologies joining JKPC.
