Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Friday.
He said at Humshalibugh, police arrested one Karleep Singh, son of Bishan Dass, resident of Bass Panchal Ramban after 4.5 Kg of poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Yaripora and an investigation has been initiated.
