Elderly woman murdered in Akhnoor
Jammu: An elderly woman was allegedly killed by her brother-in-law in the Akhnoor area of Jammu district Saturday night.
An official said that 65-year-old Vaishnu Devi, wife of late Shiv Ram Sharma, resident of village Bardal Khurd, has been allegedly murdered by her brother-in-law, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported.
The accused has been identified as Pooran Chand, son of Amarnath, resident of Bardal Khurd.
A case has been registered wide FIR no. 72/2024 and the accused has been arrested by the concerned police station while further investigation has been taken up.
