Srinagar: An unidentified male body was recovered from River Jhelum in north Kashmir’s Sopore town of Baramulla district on Saturday morning, officials said.
They said the body was recovered this morning from the river at Kraltang after it was spotted floating by the locals, who informed the police, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported.
“We have taken cognizance of the matter and started an inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC; the identity of the body is being ascertained,” police said.
