In his address, Sagar said that in the upcoming parliamentary elections, it has become clear who is dancing to the BJP’s tunes and who is standing against the BJP. He said that BJP and its B, C and D teams are using all resources to suppress the National Conference openly and secretly. “I am sure that this time people of J&K will exercise their right to vote to reject BJP and its overt and undercover proxies,” he said.

He appealed to the people that it is the need of the hour to understand the tactics of the enemies and beware of the local instruments and give our message to the country and the world in clear words on the day of voting that the people of Jammu and Kashmir did not accept the decisions of 5th August 2019.

Addressing the rally, party candidate Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi said that August 05, 2019, has become the darkest day of the modern era, the day on which the special position of Jammu and Kashmir was robbed and its constitution, flag, dignity and honour was taken away.

He said that Jammu and Kashmir had got these special privileges under the Constitution of India. “The special rights enjoyed by Himachal and North-Eastern states were not tampered with, but an unconstitutional and undemocratic attack was made against the Muslim-majority state of Jammu and Kashmir. We were punished for being Muslims,” he said.

He said that the National Conference and the Kashmiri nation have always shown religious harmony and religious tolerance, but instead, Kashmiris have been treated like second-class citizens. Aga Ruhullah Mehdi appealed to the people to exercise their right to vote against the wrong decisions of the BJP in the upcoming elections and also reject the B, C and D teams.

Srinagar District President Peer Afaq Ahmed, Provincial Youth President Salman Ali Sagar, and Women’s Wing Provincial President Er Sabia Qadri also addressed the gathering.

Meanwhile, an election rally was also held in Badipora, Charar Sharif, which was organized by senior leader and in-charge constituency Charar Sharif Abdul Rahim Rather. Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi and other leaders also addressed the meeting.
