Srinagar: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K Council organized a dynamic and inspiring Women Leadership Summit titled SheLeads – Inspiring Change, Embracing Possibilities on April 13th at RK Sarovar Portico.

The event aimed to celebrate and felicitate the achievements of women leaders in Kashmir while providing a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and empowerment.

The summit brought together approximately 45-50 accomplished women leaders from diverse fields, including business, government, academia, sports, media, and civil society. This gathering provided a unique opportunity for women leaders to connect, share experiences, and explore avenues for collaboration and partnership.

The event featured insightful panel discussions on the themes of “Women as Enablers of Change” and “Women Leaders as Catalysts for an Equitable World.” The esteemed panelists included: Mantasha Binti Rashid JKAS Deputy Director Tourism, Nuzhat Qureshi (JKAS) – Sub Divisional Magistrate, Kangan, Shahala Ali Sheikh – Founder & Director, Woodfort, Nighat Shafi Pandith – Chairperson, HELP Foundation,  Insha Qazi – Founder and CEO of SSMD School of Fashion & Interior Design, Dr. Rubeena Shaheen – District Health Officer, Srinagar, Vandana Daftari – Regional Director, Art of Living Foundation, Tabish Habib – Founder and CEO, Thinkpod Innovation & Entrepreneurship Foundation, Dr. Rumaan Bashir – Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, IUST.

The panel discussions provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by women leaders and explored strategies for advancing gender equality and empowering women in various sectors.
