Fisherman drowns to death in Wular Lake

Bandipora: A 45-year-old fisherman died of drowning after his boat capsized in the Walur Lake in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday morning.

Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that the fisherman identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Kasa, son of Ghulam Mohammad Kasa of Kanibathy Bandipora, was on his way to catch fish in the lake when his boat capsized and he drowned to death.

His body was later retrieved from the lake and taken to the district hospital Bandipora for medico-legal formalities, the news agency reported.
