Delhi-based driver, accompanying foreign tourists, shot at in Shopian

Srinagar: A non-local driver, accompanying two foreign tourists, was shot at in south Kashmir’s Shopian on Monday evening, reports said.

Reports said that terrorists opened fire on Dilranjan Singh, a 45-year-old non-local tourist driver from Delhi at the Danish Resort in Padpawan, Hirpora, Shopian.

He received bullet injuries and an arm and was shifted to a nearby hospital wherefrom he was transferred to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.

Reports further said that the driver was accompanying two foreign tourists, Adgar Zil Arman, (male), and Silly Rabber, (female), both from Germany.

Police sources said that both the tourists are safe and are with the Police.

The area has been cordoned off and searches are on to nab the attackers, said Police sources.
