“MY YOUTH MY PRIDE” J&K UT LEVEL BALL BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 2023-24 CONCLUDES

Srinagar: The J&K Ball Badminton Association, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, successfully concluded the “My Youth My Pride” J&K UT Level Ball Badminton Championship 2023-24 at the prestigious Gindun Sports Stadium in Raj Bagh, Srinagar.

This three-day event, held from March 28th to March 30th, 2024, showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship from across the region. Supported by the generous sponsorship of the J&K Sports Council and meticulously organized by the J&K Ball Badminton Association, the championship witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 40 teams comprising 400 players & 40 Officials.

Representatives from various districts of J&K came together to compete in the spirit of camaraderie and athletic excellence. The awards distribution ceremony, held amidst an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie, marked the culmination of this thrilling championship.

Distinguished guests, including Mr. Ashok Bhat (District President BJP Srinagar), as the chief guest, Mr. Majid Khan (District Vice President BJP Srinagar) & Mr. Mohammad Iqbal (Manager Gindun Sports Stadium Raj Bagh Srinagar) as the special guests, Mr. Hanief Bhat (General Secretary BJP Srinagar), Hilal Ahmad Wani (Vice President BJP Srinagar), Mr. Asif Khan (Spokes Person BJP Srinagar), Miss Saba Ali (Media Incharge BJP Srinagar), Mr. Abid Mir (Constituency President BJP), Miss Arsheena Ashraf (General Secretary Ball Badminton Association & Vice President of Ball Badminton Federation Of India), Mr. Tabish Mustafa Bhat ( Member J&K Ball Badminton Association), Mr. Shabir Ahmad (Member J&K Ball Badminton Association) & Mohsin Farooq (Organizing Secretary of the event) were the Guests of Honours, recognising and applauding the remarkable achievements of the participants.

Mr. Ashok Bhat, Mr. Hilal Ahmad Wani & Mr. Asif Khan, in their addresses, emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, dedication, and perseverance in the pursuit of excellence. They lauded the talent displayed by the young athletes and urged them to continue honing their skills to bring glory to J&K on the national and international stage. Special appreciation was extended to the J&K Ball Badminton Association for facilitating the participation of players from the Srinagar district, thus fostering inclusivity and equal opportunities in sports.

J&K Ball Badminton Association express sincere gratitude to the J&K Sports Council and the Manager Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar, for their unwavering support and provision of all necessary services throughout the championship.
